The Sierra Nevada is the
highest mountain range in Europe after the Alps - a dramatic, rugged and
extensive mountain range, the most significant section of the Cordillera
Penibética. The protected area has torrential rivers, sheer-sided
gorges, stony scree slopes, glacial lakes between snowy summits and, in
the foothills of the Alpujarras, cultivated terraces of almond trees and
vegetables. Sol y Nieve, the ski resort, is located in the Sierra
Nevada mountain range and is the most southerly ski resort in Europe.
The area offers many opportunities for rural tourism and accommodation. |

The

of the river and the surrounding towns and villages along its banks, a
view which at sunset becomes even more beautiful and unforgetable.
All of the 54 rooms are double and those facing the front have a little
balcony facing the river. The rooms facing the back have a coquette private
interior patio. The cuisine typical of Ayamonte consist of fish,
shellfish and all type of sausage. La Raya en pimenton (stingray with red

in January it is delicious all through the year. El calamar relleno (stuffed
