Husa
Los Delfines is located on the beachfront in Peniscola, Spain, with views
of the town's ancient walls across the bay and the 13th-century castle
where Pope Benedict XIII ('Pope Luna') lived. The Moorish old town and
the harbour are 500 metres away.
Expert
Tip: Pope Luna, who lived in the castle at Peniscola from 1417-1423,
was not the Roman pope, but elected during a schism in the Catholic Church.
He is therefore considered the Anti-Pope by many Roman Catholics. The castle
was given new walls in 1960 when Anthony Mann's film El Cid was shot there,
with Peniscola standing in for Valencia.
