Cala
Sant Vicenç is to be found at the northern end of Mallorca where the Tramontana
Mountain range begins. Once a fisherman's village, it has developed
into a summer residential area, with four bays, three of which are sand,
with crystalline waters. From the beaches one may contemplate the majestic
spectacle offered by the Cavall Bernat, which is the most painted cliff
of the island due to its extraordinary beauty and the chromatic shading
revealed with each sunset.
Pollença
is just eight kilometres away and is one of the most attractive townships
on the island with great personality, this being the reason it was one
of the first areas to attract visitors and has been a favoured subject
by artists and painters since the beginning of the century. |

From
the scenic point of view, Pollença is full of contrasts marked by the
spectacular Tramontana range, with craggy mountains falling away into deep
valleys which, in many cases, end in beautiful solitary coves.
The
cultural and artistic life is never ending. Numerous art galleries
and shops overflowing with all types of hand crafted objects, can be discovered
whilst winding ones way through the village streets. Most of the
year there are musical events, the most prestigious being Pollença's International
Festival of Classical Music which is held during the months of July and
September in the incomparable venue of the Santo Domingo Cloister.

a few minutes away from Cala San Vicenç, Puerto de Pollença and the breathtaking
Formentor Peninsula are awaiting appreciate visitors. |

Situated
in the centre of Cala San Vicenç, just 200 metres from the sea.
Red
stucco plastered façade, sand-stone arches and wrought iron balustrades
contrast against the green of the gardens and neighbouring pine trees.
A large exterior swimming pool which is heated during the winter months,
dominates the exterior of the hotel.
The
interior offers a welcoming atmosphere, natural stone floors, beautiful
Persian rugs together with antique furniture and small details hiding in
each nook and cranny, all thanks to the talented Joana Suau. Abundant
seasonal fresh flowers contrasting against walls displaying works of art
by local artists which clients can admire and acquire if they wish. |

Restaurant
Cavall Bernat holds 50 guests in its interior and 40 on the terrace.
The wine selection is stored in a crystal armoir which you can admire in
the restaurant. The wines are stored in ideal conditions in order
to ensure you a perfect experience.
The
hotel also has a gymnasium and sauna which is free for guests. There
is also a beauty centre on the premises. The hotel is complemented
by The Trattoria Italian restaurant with a relaxed and modern ambience.
The seating capacity is 60 guests inside and 40 on the terrace. |

The
Table: |

Dominique
L'Honoré, head-chef of the Restaurant Cavall Bernat was born in 1963 in
France. His training began in Luxembourg at the La Lorraine Restaurant,
specialising in fish dishes. Moving on to take the position of second
chef in the La Bergerie Restaurant (2 Michelin stars).
Two
years later he moved to the Lea Linster Restaurant (1 Michelin star and
winners of the Bocuse d'Or prize) as second chef where he spent two years
before moving to the restaurant la Maxilien on the Cote d'Azur where he
worked as head-chef for three years. Arriving on Mallorca in 1997. |

His
speciality is Mediterranean cuisine, predominantly fish dishes, using the
catch which comes in every morning from the Cala Sant Vicenç bay.
Dominique's cooking is simple, taking every advantage from the local products
and bringing all its flavours to a maximum.
The
wine list offers a carefully selected choice of Majorcan wines together
with the best from Spanish and international cellars.
For
more informal occasions, the hotel offers a lighter menu which is served
from the bar by the swimming pool. There is also an Italian Restaurant,
The Trattoria. |

Cancellation policy
The whole deposit, less
bank fees, will be returned if 30 days or more notice is given. 50% of
the deposit will be returned for between 30 days and 15 days notice. No
deposit will be returned if less than 2 weeks notice is given. Instead
it will be kept as a deposit for a future stay in the hotel – valid for
12 months after cancelled stay.
